HAMILTON — Josie Harris and Hope McAtee teamed up to lift the Columbia Falls Wildkats to a 2-0 win over Southern No. 1 seed Hamilton in a Class A soccer quarterfinal on Saturday.

Harris scored in the 8th minute, and McAtee’s assist on the goal tied the state single season record (21). McAtee added some cushion with her goal in the 78th minute, assisted by Onnikka Lawrence.

“It was a great game by everyone from our attacking threats up top, to our backline and we are thrilled to be moving on to the next round and hosting a semifinal,” Wildkats coach Thomas Clark said. “Credit to Hamilton, their goalkeeper made some great saves to keep them in it and Hannah Hughes is always going to be a lot to handle, they made things tough.”

Hamilton closes the season with an 11-2-0 record.

Columbia Falls (11-1-2) will play Bigfork in a home semifinal on Saturday.
