Law roundup: Driver nearly hits kid in crosswalk
A loud blue Subaru with a spoiler on the back allegedly almost hit a child in a crosswalk. Someone asked the Whitefish Police Department to talk to the driver who they claimed regularly drove 50 mph on Armory Road to the skate park.
A woman and her mother reportedly couldn’t decide whether or not to report a noise or cruelty complaint regarding a barking dog.
A chain across a boat launch prevented someone from getting their boat out.
Children were reportedly using a snack building as their personal playground and were seen climbing on top of it.
A woman allegedly called “speaking nonsense” and said her leather jacket was stolen at a location before hanging up. Employees looked at security camera footage and saw she did not have a jacket on when she came in.
A vehicle belonging to a construction crew member was reportedly blocking someone’s driveway on an ongoing basis. Officers advised the foreman of the parking concerns. The vehicle was moved.
A woman allegedly heard someone banging on what she thought was the front door, setting off an alarm. She said a similar occurrence happened before over two consecutive nights. An officer counseled a driver about his behavior and banging on a door hard enough to set off the alarm.
