Bruce Freeman Ruby, 85

Bruce Freeman Ruby, 85, passed away peacefully at Logan Health Medical Center on Oct. 11, 2023. He was born in Helena, Montana, Oct. 8, 1938. He grew up in Somers, and made a career with The Boeing Company in Everett, Washington, for 30 years. 

Throughout his life, he enjoyed photography, flying and serving his community in between being a devoted dad. He remained active in his hobbies of photography, numerous civic and volunteer groups, most notably was the Museum At Central School, upon his move back to Somers. 

He also remained active in the lives of his grandchildren. He was everyone’s friend, always actively helping whenever he could and will be dearly missed. 

He is survived by his daughter, J.J. (Dan); grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb and Abigail all of Washington; brothers, Gene (Marilyn) Ruby of Columbia Falls, Howard (Frances) Ruby of Somers; and his nieces, nephews and their families. 

At his request, no public service is planned. However, it is encouraged to celebrate his life in a way that honors his impact. An informal ceremony is tentatively planned for next summer. Please email jjruby92@yahoo.com if interested.
