Glacier Country tourism seeks board applicants

Glacier Country Tourism, the official tourism marketing, management and stewardship organization for Western Montana, is seeking applicants for positions on its volunteer board. Applicants must live in Glacier, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli or Sanders counties, and work in a tourism-related business or organization.

Glacier Country is recognized by the Tourism Advisory Council and the state of Montana as the official marketing and management organization for Western Montana. Glacier Country is funded in part by the state accommodations tax (bed tax) and by private membership funds. Geographically, Glacier Country includes Flathead, Glacier, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli and Sanders counties.


FAYP Espresso Yourself

Flathead Area Young Professionals meets Nov. 1 at 8 a.m. at the Flathead Food Bank, 1203 U.S. 2. FAYP is open to young professionals ages 21-39 and is free to Kalispell Chamber members. 


Whitefish Chamber Business Buzz

The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce Business Buzz is Nov. 2 at 8:30 a.m. at Amazing Crepes, 123 Central Avenue, co-hosted with Housing Whitefish. Offers an opportunity to get caffeinated while catching-up on the latest from the chamber and businesses. 


Kalispell Chamber Government Affairs

The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee meets Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at the chamber, 2 South Main Street, second floor board room. The governor’s budget director will visit with the committee. 


Kalispell Chamber Grand Event

The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce holds its Grand Event Nov. 8 at the Wachholz College Center, 777 Grandview Dr., beginning at 5 p.m. The event includes dinner and annual awards presented by the chamber including the Flathead Legacy Award, small and large business, nonprofit, businessperson, educator and community spirit.
