Locals Day returns to Kalispell museums

| September 21, 2023 12:00 AM

The Conrad Mansion Museum, Hockaday Museum of Art, and Northwest Montana History Museum are offering discounted admission and special activities for Locals Day on Sept. 23.

The public is invited to celebrate local art and history from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors who show their Montana driver’s licenses can buy a passport to the three museums, all located within a short walk of one another in downtown Kalispell.

The Conrad Mansion Museum, 330 Woodland Ave., is the home of a prominent founding family. Visitors may take self-guided tours of the building’s three floors.

The Hockaday Museum of Art, 302 Second Ave. E., is home to Northwest Montana’s artistic legacy. The art museum will host food trucks and family activities in its parking lot and lawn. It also will be the final day of the Give Back Benefit Sale exhibition.

The Northwest Montana History Museum, 124 Second Ave. E., features regional history and artifacts. A yard sale of items that either are duplicated in its collection or lack a connection to Northwest Montana will be held. Proceeds from the sale support the collection. The Flathead Ukulele Network will perform from noon to 2 p.m.

The passport costs $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and up. Children 12 and under are free. Passports may be purchased at each location.
