Gerald "Jerry" Hays Hill, 86, a beloved grandfather, passed away on Sept. 14, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of unique interests and a lifetime of experiences.

He was born on Jan. 29, 1937, in Cody, Wyoming. The son of Edward and Louise Hill. He grew up in the picturesque landscapes of Wyoming, where he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for the natural beauty that surrounded him.

He attended Montana State College, where he pursued his higher education. It was during his time there that he met his wife, Eloise. Their college romance blossomed into a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures.

After completing his education, he embarked on a successful career as an automotive mechanic. He dedicated his professional life to this field, earning the respect of his colleagues for his professionalism, integrity, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

In addition to his career, he had a unique passion for firearms, particularly Smith and Wesson revolvers. He was an avid gun collector and a member of the Smith and Wesson Collectors Association. His knowledge and enthusiasm for firearms were well-known among fellow collectors. He also dedicated his time to volunteer work at the Les Bauska Gun Range, where he shared his expertise and love for firearms with others. His commitment to this cause demonstrated his desire to make a positive impact in his community.

He was also actively involved in various organizations, including the NW Montana Arms Collectors Association, the Shriners, and the Freemasons. His commitment to these groups demonstrated his dedication to community service and his desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

He was a complex individual, and his relationships with his family were as unique as he was.

He is survived by his daughters, Annette (Joel) Kushner, Jennifer Jeffrey, Sharon Gwyn, and Ramona (Mona) (Steven) Guy.

He was a grandfather to Stephanie Wood, Graham Kushner, Harrison Kushner, Anna Zoeller, James Jeffrey, Brooke Jeffrey, Ruby Guy, Eugene Guy, and Violet Guy; his great-grandchildren include Izaiah Erickson, Madysen Wood, Luca Zoeller, Kaliber Osterello, Octavia Jeffrey and Haven Turner.

Family is having a private burial. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Jerry's name to a charity of your choice.

Gerald "Jerry" Hays Hill will be remembered in his own unique way, and his legacy will live on.
