David Mark Johnson, 62
David Mark Johnson, age 62, of Lakeside, passed away in his sleep on March 29, 2024. His loss was completely unexpected, and his family is profoundly saddened.
Dave was born on Aug. 20, 1961, to Delphine and Joe Johnson and lived his entire life in the beautiful Flathead Valley.
Dave leaves behind his children Brandon and Ciara (from marriage to ex-wife Mishelle) who will miss him dearly and cherish the time they had together.
Dave was the youngest of four children. He leaves all three siblings (Greg and Gary Johnson and Julie Roberson), their spouses and families behind.
He worked at Plum Creek for many years while living in Kalispell before becoming a heavy equipment operator when he moved to Lakeside. Dave was adventurous and loved the great outdoors.
His canine companions were dear to him. Ragnar and Wiley have stayed behind with Ciara, but Sam, Gauge, and Zeus are on a long walk with him now.
His departure comes as a great shock and leaves a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply in his wide network of community. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that in lieu of flowers, you take a hike, go boating, climb a mountain, or hit the slopes and think about the good times you shared with him.

Dave was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family including his children, Brandon and Ciara, his granddaughter, Everly, his entire family and countless others. He truly loved each of them — and if you knew him, you knew it.
In typical Dave fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of life will occur with details to be announced later on the website.
