Vonda Lee Seliger, 83

| April 14, 2024 12:00 AM

Vonda Lee Seliger, born on Sept. 7, 1940, in Stanley, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, at the age of 83. Vonda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Her journey began in Fairview, where she attended elementary, middle, and high school. It was then that she met the love of her life, Jerry Seliger. The two were united in marriage on Sept. 14, 1957, and their bond stood strong for nearly 67 years. Together, they embarked on a beautiful journey, making Columbia Falls their home in July of 1959, where they welcomed their three cherished sons, Terry, Aaron, and Jeff.

Devoted to her family and friends, Vonda’s passion lay in caring for those she held dear. Her compassionate nature knew no bounds, as she tirelessly offered support, comfort, and homemade meals to anyone in need. She always made time to visit sick friends and family, ensuring no one felt alone during their time of illness. She cherished her monthly gatherings with her Bunco Group, eagerly anticipating the laughter and fun they shared. Her neighbors were not just neighbors; they were an extension of her family. She delighted in their company, savoring moments of conversation over coffee on the deck and exchanging holiday treats.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron, who passed away at the tender age of 5; her parents, Virgil and Anne Stubbs; and her brothers, Roland, Jim, and Bob Stubbs.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry; her sons, Terry and Jeff; grandchildren, Jon and Tosha Seliger, Bob Franck (Holly), Sarah Lovitt (Justin), and Meagan Krantz (Ryan); 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Services to honor and celebrate Vonda’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at Fellowship Alliance in Columbia Falls, followed by a graveside burial at Woodlawn Cemetery and a reception at Fellowship Alliance.

Vonda’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace. To send online condolences please visit Vonda’s tribute page at www.columbiamortuary. com. Columbia Mortuary is caring for the family.
