Flathead County approves sale of property to Lakeside sewer district
Flathead County commissioners on Tuesday approved the sale of 36.9 acres to the Lakeside County Water and Sewer District.
The county purchased the property for a regional septage treatment facility, but in March commissioners approved an agreement that turns the construction and operation of the plant over to Lakeside. The property on Wiley Dike Road is being sold for $1.5 million, which is the same price the county paid last fall.
The vote was unanimous.
As part of the purchase agreement, Lakeside will be limited to using the property for its sewer and water operations, according to county officials.
