Twins unbeaten, Mariners stay alive at State A tourney
POLSON — Stevyn Andrachick homered and Micheal Miller drove in four runs as the Glacier Twins defeated the Gallatin Valley Outlaws Friday at the Montana/Alberta Legion A Tournament.
Earlier in the day, Cole Wadsworth threw a one-hit beauty and tallied the only run of the game as the Mission Valley Mariners defeated the Lethbridge Miners 1-0.
Both teams advance to Saturday’s games, with Glacier securing a spot in Sunday’s championship game.
Twins 7, Outlaws 4
Miller doubled in the first inning driving in two runs and Glacier jumped out to a 4-0 lead.
The Outlaws got one run back in the bottom of the first with a Brody Ayers double to center, bringing in Marcus Holen.
Gallatin Valley made it a 4-3 game in the second as Lucas Peterson doubled, driving in a pair of runners.
In the top of the fourth, Andrachick led off with a solo shot out to left field to extend the lead to 5-3. Later in the inning Miller singled, bringing in two and Glacier’s lead was back to four at 7-3.

Wadsworth did it all for the Mariners against Lethbridge.
He stole home in the fifth innings before Lethbridge tagged out Dawson DuMont, and that was all the offense the Mariners needed.
Wadsworth went the distance on the mound allowing just one hit to B Smith in the top of the third inning. He fanned six batters.
He also picked up all three hits for the Mariners, who didn’t commit an error in the game.
Tyler Risling threw a complete game for the Miners, allowing just one run on three hits and striking out four.
