Law roundup: Cruisers aren’t good sports to Olympics fan
A resident allegedly called the Kalispell Police Department wanting to know how to get a car cruise shut down after 25 vehicles drove by his house and were so loud he couldn’t hear the Olympics on his TV.
A woman allegedly called the police with an update that the “drug addicts are back,” referring to two women, and claimed she smelled methamphetamine and “dope” through a window. She had reportedly been counseled multiple times on her options of what to do. This time, she was advised on how law enforcement should handle the situation.
A later call came in from a woman who wanted to speak to an officer about alleged drug activity. She laughed when the dispatcher asked her if the activity was in progress and ranted about what she thought was going on but demanded to be “filled in on what’s going on because she deserves to know.” Her questions were reportedly answered.
A woman wearing a trench coat who purportedly had “the hooker appearance” showed up at a resident’s doorstep saying she was afraid of being trafficked and wanted him to walk her to her house. He said she might have been intoxicated and escorted her to an intersection watching her walk away until he lost sight of her.
A woman who reportedly stole a bin for cigarette butts brought it back to the location and was outside the building sitting on a lawn where someone wanted her moved along.
A woman reportedly hit a man who chased her down in a parking lot while an unleashed pit bull barked at both of them. The altercation started with a yelling match.
Three business checks totaling $2,785 were reportedly forged and cashed. The business owner became aware of the alleged fraud after receiving canceled checks from the bank.
