Authorities on Wednesday identified 32-year-old Grant Marcuccio as the climber missing in Glacier National Park.

Marcuccio went missing after he became separated from his party while hiking from Heavens Peak to McPartland Peak on Sunday, park officials said.

Marcuccio planned to summit both peaks but was last seen around noon on Aug. 18, officials said.

Marcuccio is described as a 6-foot man with brown hair and brown eyes. He weighs about 175 pounds.

He was last seen wearing brown shorts and a white and brown checkered shirt.

Two Bear Air conducted search flights over the Heavens Peak area on Monday and Tuesday. Rangers and search teams began on-foot searches the next day.

Park officials said a U.S. Forest Service helicopter  will assist with bringing search teams up to the area. It is also expected to fly over the area to search for Marcuccio on Wednesday.

Anyone who has seen Marcuccio or has information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the park tip line at 406-888-7077.
