Law roundup: Man throws cable equipment at employee
A man looking to cut the cord with cable TV reportedly went ballistic and threw cable equipment he was returning at an employee. He continued the tantrum outside and started taking pictures of vehicle license plates before getting into a vehicle. A manager called the Kalispell Police Department wanting him kicked off the property.
A disoriented man allegedly gushing blood above an eye stumbled around the sidewalk on Main Street.
A woman wearing a navy-green top and plaid PJs was reportedly dancing in the road, pacing and screaming. The person calling in the report was told officers had already checked on her welfare earlier.
Officers received a call about a woman wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt and checkered shorts who was allegedly dancing and “flopping around” an alley and knocking on someone’s garage door. She told an officer she was trying to get to her mother’s house. The officer advised her to start walking or she would go to jail for disorderly conduct.
A possibly pregnant woman in her early 20s was reportedly smoking in a store bathroom and had packages with her that an assistant manager thought she was trying to steal and wanted officers to kick her out. Officers were unable to locate her.
A man allegedly stole food from a store and yelled at a manager who confronted him. A woman, who probably wanted the conflict to end, paid for his food. The manager asked officers to respond and tell the man he was banned from being on the property.
A woman called the police alleging her adult son took her dog to the dog park where a pit bull attacked it and bit her son. She didn’t have information on the owners of the pit bull and didn’t want to pursue charges.
A white BMW convertible was reportedly running red lights and stop signs and then ran a man off the road who called the police saying he was following the vehicle. When dispatch advised him to stop following the reckless driver he got upset and hung up.
Someone wanted officers to move along three youths reportedly looking at the branches of lilac bushes when they suspiciously snuck behind a building over to the person’s location.
Two self-absorbed pedestrians on were allegedly taking selfies on the highway creating a traffic hazard in Kalispell. They moved to a safer spot.
Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office with concerns that a car would hit a shopping cart a man was pushing, and later ditched, along the shoulder of a road in Kalispell as they swerved around it. The man was also throwing items from the cart onto the road.
