Law roundup: Person threatened with ‘curb stomping’
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of someone reportedly threatening to show up at a Columbia Falls property to “curb stomp and slit” someone’s throat.
A man in Columbia Falls allegedly went over to a neighbor’s and socked him in the face, “beating him down” so he could not get away. The neighbor told deputies he didn’t know the man.
A security guard was reportedly assaulted by shoplifters running out of a Kalispell store when one man charged at the guard, driving his shoulder into him and they hit the ground. The guard allegedly grabbed onto the miscreants’ vehicle as they were leaving, then chased it before going back inside. The guard declined medical attention.
A woman reportedly threatened to stab a man in Kalispell, telling him he was going to die and then showed up at his workplace.
Someone’s father-in-law allegedly threatened to break into their trailer in Kalispell.
A driver allegedly stopped to ask if a couple were OK in Kalispell when they saw a man pushing a woman and grabbing her belongings. The man started cussing at them so they drove away and called deputies.
Someone wanted deputies to remove their daughter’s boyfriend from a Martin City residence when he reportedly refused to leave and was kicking the door.
A woman allegedly took a photo of a man in Bigfork who yelled at her and was heard yelling in the background when she called to report him to deputies. He then got into a van filled with two dogs and a few children and woman driving where he began flipping her off and honking the horn.
Someone calling from Kalispell asked if animal control would pick up a dead dog that was purportedly aggressive with other dogs and goats and test it for rabies.
Deputies received multiple allegations of animal cruelty with dogs being kept outside all day, some of which didn’t have food or water.
