Law roundup: Man hyped up to get out of town
A man reportedly strolled along Main Street yelling profanities at passing vehicles and acting like he was going to walk into traffic. He then stood on the street corner alleging he had a gun and was going to shoot people in seven minutes. The man was antsy to get out of town, telling Kalispell Police Department officers he hoped to be on a flight to Las Vegas that night.
Someone called the police to check on a neighbor they didn’t know after a food delivery sat in front of her door for a couple of weeks and there was no response when they knocked on her door. Police contacted the tenant who was out of town and was fine.
A woman reportedly threatened to burn a building down and was banging on tables and tearing up someone’s office.
A woman allegedly received a call from an ex’s boss alerting her he was threatening her life. She told officers she got other vague threats from him and blocked his phone number and social media. Officers recommended she get a temporary restraining order.
Someone heard screaming at a residence and called police after the parents of a woman’s ex allegedly showed up at her residence and started an argument pertaining to a custody battle. Officers checked on the children who were OK.
Someone calling officers was concerned about an allegedly intoxicated man’s welfare in Depot Park because he could barely stand. Officers checked on the man, who also could barely speak, and measured his alcohol level at .311%. He was ticketed for being intoxicated in the park and instructed to leave.
