Foreign policy
I have seen a lot of criticism of President Joe Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to defend themselves by using U.S. made long range weapons against Russia.
Russia has already invaded Ukraine, killed civilians, bombed cities, captured their children. What more can they do? Russia has escalated, Ukraine has defended.
I never thought I would say this, but, “Thank you, Joe Biden, for finally letting Ukraine use the right weapons to defend themselves.”
This is the one foreign policy decision that Joe got right. I am not a Biden supporter, but I do give credit where credit is due.

A new name
I was dismayed to read the “Logan Health will rebrand” story in Thursday’s Inter Lake.
Once again, here comes the hospital’s current CEO talking about some upcoming year-long process to come up with a new name and “brand”.... really? I’m sure that will make a great difference in patient care, satisfaction and overall experience with the health care system. It will also no doubt save all of us a great deal of money, especially after all the signs are changed, plus everything else that will have to be changed.
When the previous CEO had his branding revelation, went to the mountaintop, and Logan Health was created, I hoped that was the end of the deck chairs moving around on what the hospital name should be.
Unfortunately, that didn’t last long as the newly minted Logan Health leadership then embarked on the consolidation effort with the Billings hospital, which still doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but hey, I guess I just don’t appreciate how that’s made everything so much better for us local consumers of health care here in Northwest Montana. And now I suppose we’re headed for some name (and brand) like Montana Health ... super.
It will be a great stride forward in our local health care situation, and no doubt, surely worth all the money spent to get there.
