Businessowner Tamara Williams honored by Evergreen Chamber
Longtime Insty-Prints owner Tamara Williams was honored with Evergreen Chamber of Commerce's Brent Hall Award at the chamber's annual banquet dinner Wednesday in Kalispell.
Williams has been with Insty-Prints of Kalispell for 35 years, transitioning from employee to ownership.
The Brent Hall Award is given each year by the Evergreen Chamber to honor a person whose life exemplifies a spirit of giving, community and business leadership, volunteerism, and advocacy for and support of others.
A native of Shelby, Williams graduated from Carroll College in 1984 and moved to the Flathead Valley immediately afterward.
Williams believes in giving back to her community and volunteering her time to organizations she is passionate about. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Kalispell, serving as club president from 2012-2013, and is past-president of the Flathead Rotary Community Foundation. Other board positions she currently holds include Evergreen School Board chair, Glacier Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, Westside CC, Westside Condo Association and the United Way.
Williams and her husband Chuck have two adult children and enjoy spending time at the lake with their yellow labs.
Tony Brockman was honored by the chamber as Volunteer of the Year.
Raised in Evergreen, Brockman served in the Montana Legislature during the 2023 session representing Evergreen's House district. As a representative, Brockman worked on the Safe Routes to School sidewalk project along U.S. 2 in Evergreen.
Brockman partnered with the Evergreen Chamber on many projects, including serving pizza at "Kids Count for Evergreen"
He is employed by Montana Department of Commerce working with local and statewide partners to support economic growth across Montana.
The chamber's Energizer Bunny award went to Don Weakly, owner of Don Weakly deSigns and Northwest BLS. Weakly joined the chamber ambassadors in 2012 and is actively involved with Chamber activities.
"When you see the Evergreen Chamber trailer at our events, you will find Don," commented Chamber Executive Director Connie McCubbins.
The Positive Impact Award went to The Syndicate Hair and Beauty Parlor. The business joined Evergreen Chamber earlier this year and has since made an impact on the community.
