Girls Tip-Off: Bigfork, C-Falls and Whitefish win Saturday

FRENCHTOWN — Bigfork, Columbia Falls and Whitefish all picked wins on the second day of the Frenchtown Tip-Off girls basketball tournament Saturday.

Here’s a short rundown: 


Bigfork 40, Frenchtown 34

Keni Wade hit a 3-pointer and two free throws in the fourth quarter as Bigfork overtook the Broncs. Wade finished with eight points. 

Paeten Gunlock had a game-high 19 points and Braeden Gunlock added 11, four coming in the fourth quarter.

Whitefish 65, Stevensville 11

Carmela Alfieri and Allie Shors led a balanced Whitefish attack with 11 points each.

Rylee Delmas scored nine of her 13 points in the first half for Libby, but the Lady Loggers were outscored 18-4 in the third quarter.

Taryn Borgen scored 21 points for the Wildkats, and Onnika Lawrence scored all of her seven points in the first half.

Lexy Burnham and Ava Robinson combined for 31 Eagle points, outscoring the Lady Pirates by themselves.

Malia Miller hit three first-quarter 3-pointers to stake Timberlake to a 16-6 lead it wouldn’t relinquish.  

Ariana Zepeda was 5 of 8 from the floor on the way to 10 points for Ronan. Zailee Hewankorn also had 10 points, shooting 4 of 8 from the field.
