Wolfpack girls pick up first win of season
GREAT FALLS — Karley Allen led all scorers with 13 points and the Glacier Wolfpack girls beat the Great Falls Bison 36-32 Saturday afternoon to pick up their first win of the season.
Coming off a hard-fought battle the night before, losing to CMR 56-52, the Wolfpack jumped out to an 14-7 lead in the first quarter and never trailed the rest of the game.
Seniors Reese Ramey and Cazz Rankosky scored all of their points in the first quarter, Ramey scoring five points, including a 3-pointer and Rankosky scoring four.
Allen did all the heavy lifting in the second half, scoring 9 of the team’s 13 points. Sophomore Madi Stevens was the only player to register a field goal in the second half besides Allen and finished with five points.
After splitting the road series with Great Falls and CMR, Glacier will host their home opener next Friday against Gallatin at 7 p.m., before welcoming Bozeman for a Saturday matinee game at 1 p.m.
