Utah man killed in rollover crash near Bigfork
A Utah man died Sunday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Montana 35 near Bigfork.
The 50-year-old from Layton, Utah was driving a Hummer H2 northbound on Montana 35 near mile marker 28 when his SUV crossed the centerline and ran off the roadway, according to a Montana Highway Patrol accident report. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to reenter the highway before rolling several times and coming to rest on its top.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the Hummer during the accident. The passenger, a 33-year-old Kalispell woman, was transported to Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash, according to the report. Road conditions were dry.
