Law roundup: Teens charged with taking out the trash
Two young teens were allegedly spotted doing a woman’s dirty work when they got out of the white vehicle she was sitting in and filled a dumpster with trash. The person calling in the report thought it was illegal to fill the dumpster with household trash.
Someone called the Kalispell Police Department complaining that their husband stole a catalog and wouldn’t give it back.
A father reportedly sent his daughter “money via text” only to find out she changed her phone number and the person he’d been texting for over six months was pretending to be her.
A shoe store manager allegedly found methamphetamine wrapped in plastic in the bathroom. Officers collected it to enter it into evidence for destruction.
Meanwhile, in another business’s bathroom, a sales representative reportedly found syringes in the trash after two women left. One of the women also left behind contact information on a paint order.
A woman wearing a red jacket was reportedly hunkered down by a business’s front door where she yelled and screamed at people, scaring them. Officers moved her along.
A drunk man wearing all black was allegedly lying in a neighbor’s driveway and was breathing but wasn’t responsive. An ambulance took him to the hospital.
Someone called 911 and immediately hung up. When a dispatcher called the number back to confirm there wasn’t an emergency, the person who answered and said, “Sorry, Merry Christmas.”
A woman thought scammers were trying to “take her house.”
Someone filed an online report alleging their father transferred $38,000 out of their joint bank account without permission. They said the account was opened when they were a minor. Officers advised them it was a civil issue.
