Linda Iverson, 78
Linda Iverson, 78, left this world after a hard-fought battle from a little of this and a lot of that surrounded by her precious family. Kalispell Regional Hospital, now Logan Health, the institution to whom she devoted 35 hard-working years was where she passed Feb. 7, at approximately 5 p.m., checking out as she had for all those years at the same place, same time.
Linda May Bartlett was born Sept. 30, 1945, in Conrad, to Alice and Lynn Bartlett, as the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from Conrad High School and married Larry Carl Iverson on Dec. 29, 1962. Larry filled Linda’s life with confidence and love. Together they filled their home with laughter, positivity, pets, and children as their hearts desired. Their children, Collette Jones, Larry Iverson Jr., Tami Hyndman, and Kevin Iverson completed the family. They loved farm life in Montana, then upon moving to Arizona, they found out they loved the sunshine too. With this, Linda built a beautiful life in both places she called home.
She was a strong, brave, and talented leader in all she did. The greater the challenge the more she stepped up to it! Linda accredited her cooking skills to Mable Iverson who taught her the joy of cooking for many on the farm during harvest season. She excelled at selling a clothing line and acquiring her dental assistant certification while living in Arizona. Then, the call of Montana brought them back for 30 plus years where she excelled in her management career with Kalispell Regional Hospital. All the while, being a fabulous wife and mother.
Linda's happiest moments were when she was surrounded by her pets and family. Preparing her favorite recipes (which never disappointed), playing lively hands of bridge, making time for 26-mile horseback rides into the Bob Marshell Wilderness, entertaining anyone who joined her out camping, or traveling across the globe to be with family kept her busy. Beyond that, she dedicated a large part of her life to her grandchildren. Not only did she show up for all the big moments in her grandchildren’s lives like championship games, concerts, graduations, milestones; but she was always there to take them from rehearsals or practice and to cheer them on along the way.
Preceding her in death, beside her parents, are her husband, Larry Iverson, and her sister, Ilene Broer.
Her surviving family are, her children, Collette and Dennis Jones, Larry and Nancy Iverson, Tami and Jason Hyndman, and Kevin Iverson. She also lives on in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Kyle and Christy Garcia-Jones (Vincent), Amy and James Boyce (Taelor and Tommy), Larry and Sara Iverson (Brooks, Elliotte Jo, Clay, and Jaxon), Jacob and Lacey Konen (Collyns), Zach and Allie Konen (Brody, Calum, and Paisley), Logan and Hannah Iverson, Rebecca and Harrison Kauffman, Sarah Konen, Hannah and Chad Tew (Kaci), Hailey Iverson, Austin and Kassie Hyndman (Tenlee, Monroe, Londyn and Jensen), and Quinn and Sidney Hyndman (Riley and Ridge). Also surviving her are her sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Andrew Kovatch of Bigfork, and all her special nieces, and nephews.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, best friend, and confidante filled with wit, an enthusiasm for life, contagious laughter, positivity, and so much love. To know Linda was to love her, and to love her is to now miss her dearly. We all love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around your neck.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 24, at the Hampton Inn in Kalispell.
