Western B girls: Anaconda, Missoula Loyola secure state berths

PABLO — Meela Mitchell scored a game-high 25 points, Makena Patrick added 18 and Anaconda defeated Mission 60-49 in a Western B divisional semifinal Friday.

Kasen Page scored 13 to lead the Bulldogs, who fall to the consolation bracket on Saturday. Mission takes on Thompson Falls Saturday at 10:45 a.m..

Maniyah Lunceford checked in with 12 points for Anaconda, who advance to play Missoula Loyola in the championship game Saturday at 8:30 p.m..

Missoula Loyola 64, Florence 31

Missoula Loyola used a strong first half on both sides of the ball to take command of their semifinal against Florence and advance to Saturday’s championship game.

The Breakers held the Falcons scoreless in the second frame to take a 40-10 lead into the half.

Sami McHugh led the way for the Breakers with 18 points. Spencer Laird added 13.

Eureka 58, Deer Lodge 52

Dylan Sharp scored 15 points and Eureka defeated Deer Lodge in a loser out game Friday. Kara Stanger added 10 points for the Lions, who advance to take on Florence Saturday in a loser out game at 10:45 a.m.
