Wachholz College Center hosts list of entertainment this month
The Wachholz College Center begins 2024 with a stellar lineup of musicians and speakers.
Classic Albums Live recreates the magic of Fleetwood Mac’s iconic album, “Rumours,” note for note, cut for cut, by some of the best musicians in the industry. The Jan. 12 performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $42 to $60, not including ticket service fees.
Grammy Award-winning Chanticleer, a vocal ensemble dubbed “the world’s reigning male chorus” by “The New Yorker,” will perform Jan. 14 at 3 p.m. Chanticleer’s repertoire is rooted in the Renaissance, and has continued to expand to include a wide range of classical, gospel, jazz, popular music, and a deep commitment to the commissioning of new compositions and arrangements. Ticket prices range from $39 to $50, not including ticket service fees.
On Jan. 21, prepare for an evening of magic and laughter in “Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience.” In this show, two-time Olivier Award-nominated actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner condense all seven Harry Potter books into 70 hilarious minutes. The show is appropriate for “ages 6 to Dumbledore,” according to www.pottedpotter.com. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $38 to $68, not including ticket service fees.
Embark on an adventure with renowned mountaineer Peter Hillary, son of Sir Edmund Hillary, at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25, as he shares captivating tales, insights and experiences in “70 years of Everest.” This event is part of the Changemaker Series. Ticket prices range from $25 to $35, not including ticket service fees. Admission is free for students.
On Jan. 26, country artist RaeLynn brings her vibrant music to the stage. RaeLynn is a two-time Academy Of Country Music Awards New Female Vocalist nominee with both gold and platinum singles. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices start at $39, not including ticket service fees.
