NAU women hit 12 3s against Bobcats

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Emily Rodabaugh scored 23 points, including seven of Northern Arizona’s 12 3-pointers and the Lumberjacks defeated Montana State 88-73 in Big Sky Conference women's basketball.

The Lumberjacks shot 67% from behind the arc in the first half and 52% overall.

Madison Hall led the way for the Bobcats with 14 points. Natalie Picton and Taylor Janssen each added 13 for Montana State, who never led.

In the first quarter Northern Arizona came out hot, scoring the first 10 points of the game and going up 19-4 on an Olivia Moran 3-pointer.

Early in the second quarter Taylor Janssen would cut the Bobcat deficit down to 24-15, but a buzzer-beating three from Rodabaugh would put the Lumberjacks up 52-35 at the half.

Northern Arizona kept the offense rolling into the second half growing the lead out to 82-55 with seven minutes to go in the game. Montana State answered with a 12-0 run, but the Lumberjacks were able to hold on for the win.

Montana State is back on the court on Saturday taking on Northern Colorado in Greeley.
