| January 21, 2024 12:00 AM

Mitchell Arron Lynch passed away on Jan. 9, 2024.

Mitch will forever be remembered for his unwavering love and profound respect for the great outdoors. He was a true outdoorsman, an avid fisherman, hunter, snowmobiler and camper who explored the vast landscapes of Western Montana with a sense of adventure that was unmatched. In his formative years, Mitch formed an inseparable bond with his cousins “The Koski Boys.” Together, they roamed mountains — discovering hidden mountain lakes and cherished fishing holes. They were the epitome of good ole boys.

Mitch possessed an exquisite mind, which he used after high school by working in various lumber lills, where he honed his skills and craftsmanship. However, it was at Plum Creek where Mitchell found his true calling. For three decades Mitch, affectionately known as "Stumpy," dedicated himself as a millwright, mentor, and, above all, a friend to his colleagues. His commitment to his work was unparalleled, and his impact on those around him was immeasurable.

In 1991, Mitch embarked on a new chapter of his life when he married, Brenda Lynch. Alongside Brenda, he embraced his role as stepfather. Their union spanned 32 beautiful years, serving as a shining example of commitment, understanding, and unwavering love to all who had the privilege of knowing them.

He had a profound love of playing cards and will forever reign as the Slide King Champion.

He was also an avid football fan and adored the Seattle Seahawks and Montana Grizzlies.

Mitch will forever be cherished for his boundless love for nature, his dedication to his craft, and his unwavering commitment to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of the great outdoors he held so dear.
