Ralph Sievers, 78
Ralph Sievers, 78, passed away peacefully on Jan. 11, 2024, at Abrazo Central Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born May 2, 1945, in Nyssa, Oregon, to Walter and Louise (Schimke) Sievers. He graduated H.S. in Boulder MT (in 1963).
Shortly after graduation he went to Body and Fender School in Denver, Colorado, enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1965 to 1968. After the Navy he returned to Boulder and worked for John Franchi, later purchasing the autobody shop that became Ralph’s Body Shop.
Displaying an excellent knack for autobody and detail, he moved to the Flathead Valley in 1971, where he managed and worked for an array of body shops including, Roy Stanley Chevy, Balding Used Cars and Rygg Ford, before opening North Valley Collision in Columbia Falls.
He truly loved life through simple pleasures chatting, spending time with friends and family, riding Harley Davidsons, reading books, tinkering with old cars and pretty much anything that ran on gas. He had an uncanny gift to reach people in a deep positive way. He also was a proud member of the Jaycees, Sunrisers Lions Club.
He was also a mentor, friend, shoulder, ear in AA where he will dearly be missed. May we all honor Ralphs spirit by giving love and support to those in recovery.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Kenfield-Sievers; sisters, Norma Arbogast, Barbra Knight and Rosalie Hamon; brother, Douglas Frank; children, Kevin (Carolyn) Sievers (grandkids, Kendra and Madison); daughter, Pam (Mark) Mommsen (grandkids, Kayla and Logan); son, Chuck Kingery (grandkids, Josh, Tiffany and Michael); stepchildren, Shane (JoAnna), Kevin (Angi), BJ (Amy) Kenfield and Angela Whitley (Robert); and many more step-grandkids, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family friends and others whose lives Ralph touched will be invited to a celebration of life this summer, date and time will be announced later.
