3 by Ronan's Edmo beats beats buzzer, Libby

RONAN — Tayen Edmo scored six points for Ronan Saturday and all of them were big: He hit back-to-back 3-pointers to lift the Chiefs over Libby 61-58 in Northwest A boys basketball.

Marlo Tonasket scored 18 points and Ted Coffman added 10 for Ronan (9-4 overall, 6-1 in league). But Edmo’s second three broke a 58-58 tie at the buzzer.

Libby’s Tyler Anderson led all scorers with 24 points, including four 3-pointers for the Loggers (2-10, 0-6 in Northwest A).

Laurence Lozeau scored eight points for Ronan, who knocked down seven triples.

BIGFORK — Jace Hill scored 23 points, including six 3-pointers, and Columbia Falls made 13 shots from behind the arc to win its Northwest A boys basketball showdown Saturday.

Asher Knopik led all scorers with 26 points for the Vikings (5-8, 3-4 in Northwest A), who led 19-8 after one quarter.

Cody Schweikert added 12 points and six rebounds for Columbia Falls (7-5, 5-1), who pulled away in the fourth quarter.

WHITEFISH — Maurice Red Horn III scored 18 points, Jude Reeves added 15 and Browning picked up a 69-66 victory at Whitefish in Northwest A boys basketball Saturday.

Carson Gulick led all scorers with 19 points for the Bulldogs (6-4 overall, 2-2 in Northwest A), who trailed 52-44 after three quarters. Mason Kelch added 18 points including three 3-pointers.

Isiah Running Rabbit and Mahkia Tatsey each scored 10 for Browning (8-3, 4-1), who were 19-26 from the free-throw line.
