BUTTE — Glacier’s wrestling teams fell short in their final duals before divisionals, but there were some bright spots for the Wolfpack in the Mining City.

“I thought the girls wrestled well,” Glacier coach Ross Dankers said after they lost 46-17 thanks in large part to several open weight classes. “Temree (Payne-Taylor), Kaura (Coles), and Brooke (Yeadon) were all very dominant in their matches, winning three of the five contested bouts in the dual.”

The boys dual ended 51-22 in favor of Butte, with Kaleb Shine earning a major decision at 145 and Noah Horn (205), Garrett Bosch (120) and Nicola Coles (152) all picking up pins.

“On the boys side we are a couple tossup matches away from making it a lot tighter score,” Dankers said. “Hats off to Horn on getting his seventh win in a row as a sophomore at 205, and its really nice to have Niko back in the lineup at 152. I like where we’re at, heading into divisionals. We have a few days to make some last final adjustments before heading to Helena on Friday.”
