Girls Roundup: Gunlock girls pace Valkyries

BIGFORK — Bigfork’s Braeden and Paeten Gunlock split six 3-pointers and combined for 46 points Tuesday, as the Valkyries thumped Northwest A girls basketball foe Polson 63-21.

Braeden Gunlock scored 13 points in the third quarter as the Vals (14-1 overall, 9-0 in Northwest A games) built a 61-17 lead.

Rylee Taylor-Jefferson’s six points led Polson (7-7, 3-5 in league).

EUREKA — Dylan Sharp scored six of her 12 points in a 20-2 first-quarter Eureka surge that sent the Lions to the District 7-B win.

Haidyn Guckenberg added 12 points off the bench for the Lions (6-7 overall, 5-1 in 7-B games), and Brynn Miller added 10 in a reserve role.

Three players cored four points each for the Lady Trojans (2-10, 0-6).
