Law roundup: Neighbor surveys he doesn’t like boundary
A disgruntled neighbor crossed the line when he was reportedly seen pulling a survey marker out of a woman’s yard. She called the Whitefish Police Department wanting to know what laws might pertain to the incident. She said he allegedly told her he pulled the marker out because he “didn’t want to look at it,” but put it back when asked.
A bar owner allegedly asked Whitefish Police Department to move along a dog and three men panhandling outside the building and had no other description other than looking like they “crawled out from under a train.”
A woman alleged that a young girl in a rusty pickup with no license plates purportedly kept looking out the window at her “with big eyes,” panicked, as if “something was wrong.” The woman said the driver “appeared to be” male.
Cleaning staff reportedly opened the door to a cabin and found a man inside who had broken in. A security employee called the police and said he was not combative but not cooperative and took off on a blue bicycle.
People allegedly went to the dog park to shoot off fireworks.
Someone allegedly stole a license plate off a Ducati while the owner was inside a bar.
Someone reportedly voiced concerns about “vagrants” going to the train tracks and wanted extra patrol.
A white bicycle with pink-colored pedals, tire splash guards and teal handlebar grips was reported stolen.
People allegedly slept in a park pavilion for two days.
