Bitterroot Red Sox sweep A Lakers doubleheader
Four different Bitterroot Red Sox pitchers combined to hold the Kalispell A Lakers to two hits in both games of Monday’s doubleheader as the Red Sox claimed both victories.
In game one, Cash Lawrence went 6 2-3 innings, allowing just one run as Bitterroot took the win 4-1. B Brenneman finished out the final out for the Red Sox.
Brady Buckmaster and Kyler Croft picked up the lone hits for the Lakers (25-21), Tanner Votja tallied the lone run.
George Schwan started for Kalispell, going four innings and allowing just two runs on two hits. He fanned three.
Hunter Harrness drove in a pair of runs for the Red Sox, going 1-for-3 at the plate.
In game two, C Ekin started for the Red Sox, going four innings and allowing just one run on one hit. R Earp threw two innings in relief allowing the Lakers second run in the 10-2 decision.
Croft picked up another hit in game two, Hunter Glidden also reached on a hit.
Schwan started again for Kalispell, going 4 1-3 innings. Max Schara and Croft combined to close out the game.
The A Lakers are back on the diamond at home for the John R. Harp Tournament July 12-14, playing four games over the three days.
