Travis Usdrowski hit two doubles and Chase Saunders and Ty Shepard each hit two-baggers for the Lumbermen (17-12). Shepard and Charlie Dixon each drove in two runs, and Isaac Ziegler scattered three hits and four walks in five innings of work. The game ended early under the mercy rule.

Reed Boyer hit a double and Nolan Amerman had a triple for the Twins (19-6), who took on Missoula Impact 18U late Thursday. That game had not ended at press time.

Libby holds on

LIBBY — Cy Williams homered, Brody Gilmore tripled and Libby made 17 hits and 13 runs hold up in a 13-12 win over the South Valley Screwballs Thursday.

The Loggers (6-28) led 8-1 and 12-2 before the Screwballs out of Ronan scored 10 runs in innings 7-9. Five walks, a Libby error and H Luedtke’s two-run double fueled a six-run seventh inning by South Valley (2-6), cutting the gap to 12-8. The go-ahead run came to the plate in the top of the ninth inning, before a popout ended it.

Mason Crow, Tanner Wolfe and Gilmore all had three hits for Libby; Williams, Gilmore and Boe Miles each drove in two runs. Ian Thom scored three times for the Loggers.
