Big inning lifts Lumbermen over Twins

Travis Usdrowski homered during a seven-run fourth inning for the Coeur D’Alene as the Lumbermen defeated Glacier 11-3 Sunday at the Gallo Tournament. 

Nolan Christ and Chase Saunders each hit RBI singles in the fourth to grow the Lumbermen lead. 

Nolan Amerman tripled in the first inning for the Twins (22-7) to put Glacier in front 2-0. Another run scored in the second to make it a 3-2 Twins lead. 

Couer D’Alene scored the final nine runs of the game to take the win in five innings. 

West Amerman pitched two innings for Glacier, striking out one. Reed Boyer and Nolan Amerman also took the mound.

Braeden Newby threw a complete game for the Lumbermen, allowing four hits and fanning one.

The Twins next take the diamond Wednesday for a doubleheader against the Kalispell A Lakers starting at 6 p.m.
