Fixing Fifth Avenue top street project for Columbia Falls in upcoming budget cycle
Fixing Fifth Avenue West is one of the top projects for Columbia Falls in the upcoming '24-'25 budget cycle.
A large swath of the street’s surface broke up over the winter and a portion of the road has been closed to all but local traffic since.
City staff have decided to replace the water mains while the street is torn up, as one dates back to 1958 and the other to 1964, Interim City Manager Clint Peters told City Council earlier this month.
