Boat trailer tire likely sparks new fire near Elmo

A new fire on the Flathead Reservation has grown to about 200 acres.
The Big Draw Fire west of Elmo was likely started Monday by a boat trailer tire falling off and igniting grass along Montana 28, according to the CSKT Division of Fire.
A Type 3 team was on the scene, along with three single-engine tankers and crews from Polson, Chief Cliff and Hot Springs fire departments.
