Daniel Chattin, 61

Daniel "Danny" Wayne Chattin, 61, passed away May 20, 2024, in Great Falls. A celebration of life will take place next year.

Danny was born July 21, 1962, in Hardin, to Wayne Howard Chattin and Myrna Burns Mooney. He graduated from Golden High School in 1980. He later received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado Boulder. He had 30 years’ experience in general construction management and earned several outstanding business awards. 

When Danny wasn’t working, he enjoyed helping with tribal business, golfing, tennis, watching football and traveling. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his son Hunter. Anytime a person would walk into Danny’s home or call him on the phone, he would say with a big smile, "What’s happening!" Everyone who knew him will miss that smile. 

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Myrna and Ross Mooney; son, Hunter Lee Chattin; sister, Mary Beth Phillips and her husband, Peter Phillips. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Howard Chattin; and sister, Sydnee Carol Chattin.
