Evergreen School District creates Learner Profile to set students up for future success

Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, the Evergreen School District Leadership Team and Evergreen School District Community Council developed our Learner Profile. 

The District Leadership Team is composed of staff representing all areas of the district. The Community Council is composed of community members representing our high school partner district, higher education, the business community, the civic community, the faith-based community, an elected official, and 10 parents/guardians of current students. In total, almost 50 different stakeholders were involved in the process of developing our Learner Profile. 

During many months and hours of work together throughout last school year, our Leadership Team and Community Council used the District’s already developed Vision, Mission, and Goals then chose to use the action verbs already established in our Vision (adapt, thrive, and contribute) to guide our work in determining the primary skills and competencies students need for high school and post-secondary success.
