Author holds book signing

| June 6, 2024 12:00 AM

Mary Frances Erler will be signing her newest books on June 15 from noon to 3 p.m. at Barnes and Noble in Kalispell.

In addition to her two other books mentioned, she will also have her first historical fiction book “Voices in the Past.”

This book grew out of stories she heard about her ancestors from elder family members. Many of her ancestors came to America in the 1700s and 1800s, most from Germany, Denmark, and Ireland. “In Voices in the Past,” she uses a time-travel scenario to make the old stories relate to modern readers. In addition, the time-travelers themselves learn firsthand what the lives of their ancestors were like.

The other two books address contemporary issues such as divorce, mental illness, persons with disabilities, and overcoming modern life’s challenges. “Lauren’s Dark Passage” tells the story of a single mom caught in a difficult affair, even as she struggles with her health, her children’s issues, and her faith.

Her book “Far from Magnolia Drive” delves more deeply into the stigmas attached to mental illness and sexual identity.
