A man reportedly thought he had no other recourse than to jump out of a window when officers with the Kalispell Police Department knocked on the door of an apartment where someone complained about a man and woman yelling at each other. The woman told officers she and the man were going through a breakup and she didn’t know why he ran from law enforcement.

A woman allegedly had friends over to her apartment who were inappropriate and noisy, which led to a noise complaint and the building manager posting a notice on her door. The woman reportedly confronted a neighbor, yelling at them about being kicked out of her apartment and saying she “hoped they got shot” and was going to send a friend to go after them, threatening to destroy their backyard garden. The neighbor was afraid the aggressive woman would hurt them or their children and was advised to file for a temporary restraining order.

Someone reportedly saw an 18- or 20-year-old woman sleeping in an alley and strongly felt that someone should help her because she was young and seemed to have been homeless for a while. An officer checked on the woman who allegedly said she “wants to be a transient and does not want to work,” and her “family is worse than being on the street.” She was given a list of resources and counseled to contact Community Action Partnership to improve her living situation.

A gray Jeep Grand Cherokee allegedly parked in a handicapped-designated spot for hours without a visible placard and got a pass from being fined when the responding officer was out of parking tickets. The officer counseled the driver who moved the vehicle.

A woman inside a white van with “bad smells coming from it” was reportedly making noises like she was in pain. The woman did not need any assistance.

Four people dressed in “raggedy clothes” allegedly weren’t allowed to purchase alcohol because they didn’t have IDs but remained on the property and were hanging around a white van, which made a floor manager uncomfortable. Officers walked through the building and the group left.
