NO. 30471 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATION BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF MONTANA In re NorthWestern Energy’s Annual Natural Gas Rate Tracking Adjustments Docket 2023.07.068 June 14, 2024 Notice of Application and Intervention Deadline 1. On May 31, 2024, NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy (“NorthWestern”) filed its Annual Natural Gas Tracker Application (“Application”) with the Montana Public Service Commission (“Commission”). 2. Among other adjustments in its Application, NorthWestern proposes to increase its natural gas supply rates for its residential, general service, and firm utility customers by $0.0884 per therm. According to NorthWestern, for a typical residential customer using 65 therms per month, NorthWestern’s proposed rates would result in an increase of $5.77 per month or $69.24 per year. NorthWestern requests the Commission approve its proposed rates on an interim basis for service provided on and after July 1, 2024. 3. A copy of the filing is publicly available at the Commission’s business office, 1701 Prospect Avenue, Helena, MT 59601, and online at the Commission’s website (psc.mt.gov) under Docket No. 2023.07.068. A copy of the filing may also be available at the office of the Montana Consumer Counsel (“MCC”), which represents consumer interests before the Commission, 111 North Last Chance Gulch, Suite 1B, Helena, MT 59601, (406) 444-2771. The Commission invites any interested party affected by NorthWestern’s filing to intervene in this docket. To intervene, a party must file a petition to intervene with the Commission no later than July 1, 2024.
