Jeremiah "Jerry" Joseph Dougherty Sr., 65, passed away on June 10, 2024, at his home in Whitefish with his family by his side. He was born on Sept. 28, 1958, in Southampton, New York, to Thomas and Alice (Blum) Dougherty.
Jeremiah came to Whitefish over 25 years ago, he was a carpenter by trade, he decided to start his own business, “On the Level Enterprises Inc.,” which he did successfully until his passing on June 10, 2024.
It’s not easy to run a business like he did, but he mastered it with flying colors, he was hard working, dedicated, and had loyal employees that were with him till the end. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, fishing, singing, sitting around a nice fire, he would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed help, always the one we could count on, he was more than just a friend or a boss we were all family.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters, and one nephew.
He is survived by his brother, Tom of East Hampton; sons, Robert Vaughn and his wife Courtney of Kalispell, Matthew Dougherty and his wife Mellisa of Whitefish, Jeremiah Jr. of New York; his daughters, Atarah Jordan of Whitefish, Shannon Lee of Long Island; seven grandchildren, and his closest friends.
