Don “K” Subaru recently donated 80 warm lap blankets to Logan Health for children undergoing infusion therapy as part of cancer treatment.

Oncology nurses Brandy Thornberry and Jenna LaRose along with Jaren Renfro, cancer program coordinator at Logan Health, accepted the donation.

“These blankets will be given to patients who are receiving treatment and will comfort them on their healing journey,” Renfro said. “Going through cancer treatment is one of the most daunting things a person can experience, and these blankets will make it a little easier for those going through this."

Kevin Kaltschmidt, general manager of Don “K” Subaru in Whitefish said the business is always seeking ways to help in the Flathead Valley.

“This partnership with Logan Health and the pediatric cancer patients at Logan Health is one effort that touches so many families and at a time when it is really needed,” he said.

The Subaru Loves to Care program is focused on supporting patients undergoing treatment for cancer. The program will have supported over 350,000 cancer patients by the end of this year.
