Badrock U15 bests Mission Valley
Logan Stewart hit a solo home run, a two-run single and had four runs batted in as the host Badrock U15 team beat Mission Valley 14-4 Friday at the Badrock Invitatinal baseball tournament Friday at Glacier Bank Park.
Badrock, now 10-5, will face the Sluggers 15-16 team Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with a spot in the championship game on the line. Sluggers beat Federal Way 5-3 Friday.
The title will be decided at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Luke Dalen hit a two-run triple in the first inning for Badrock, the big hit in a 7-run outburst. The hosts ended the game after five innings under the mercy rule.
Will Sisson, Carson Bramme, Dalen and Stewart all had two hits to pace a 13-hit attack.
Talus Piatkowski went the distance on the mound for Badrock, allowing two hits, three walks and no earned runs in five innings. He fanned six.
