NO. 30176 Kila School #20 SB307 RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO IMPOSE AN INCREASE IN LEVIES As an essential part of its budgeting process, the Kila School Board of Trustees is authorized by law to impose levies to support its budget. The Kila School Board of Trustees estimates the following increase/decreases in revenues and mills for the funds noted below for the next school fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024, using certified taxable valuations from the current school fiscal year as provided by the district.  Building Reserve Fund. Estimated change in revenues: $ 45,787 increase. Estimated change in Mills: increase 7.66 mills. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is $ 10.34 increase and on a home of $200,000 a $ 20.68 increase.  Transportation Fund. Estimated change in revenues: $ 1,386 increase. Estimated change in Mills: increase .23 mills. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is $ 0.31 increase and on a home of $200,000 a $ 0.63 increase.  Tuition Fund. Estimated change in revenues: $ 57,290 decrease. Estimated change in Mills: decrease 9.58 mills. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is $ 12.94 decrease and on a home of $200,000 a $ 25.87 decrease.  Total. Estimated change in revenues: $ 10,117 decrease. Estimated change in Mills: decrease 1.69 mills. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is $ 2.28 decrease and on a home of $200,000 a $ 4.57 decrease.  Regarding the increase in the building reserve levy referenced above, the following are school facility maintenance and building projects anticipated for future years for Kila School Buildings and possible Counselor compensation. Mills may be adjusted up or down depending on newly taxable property, with those numbers being available in August.
