DREAM Adaptive Recreation's 5th Annual SHRED-A-THON returns
DREAM Adaptive Recreation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through outdoor recreation, is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated SHRED-A-THON event at Whitefish Mountain Resort.
Taking place on March 23rd, this event promises a day of fun-filled activities while supporting a great cause.
The SHRED-A-THON is an all-abilities fundraiser & optional vertical challenge. Attendees fundraise before and during the event, then join team DREAM for an on-snow celebration and optional vertical challenge: hike uphill, ski, or ride as many vertical feet as you can in one day.
Incredible prizes will be handed out for most funds raised & vertical feet shredded in multiple categories. There will be vert-booster opportunities for attendees to use strategy in their favor. Costumes are strongly encouraged!
This year, DREAM Adaptive Recreation is proud to have Big Mountain Botanicals as the presenting sponsor of the event. Big Mountain Botanicals, a local company committed to promoting health and wellness through natural products, shares DREAM's passion for making outdoor recreation accessible to everyone.
"We are thrilled to have Big Mountain Botanicals on board as our presenting sponsor for the SHRED-A-THON," said Julie Tickle, Executive Director of DREAM Adaptive Recreation. "Their support enables us to continue to grow our community impact and foster inclusivity and empowerment through recreation."
Participants in the SHRED-A-THON will have the opportunity to ski or snowboard alongside adaptive athletes, showcasing the spirit of camaraderie that defines DREAM's community. In addition to hitting the slopes, attendees can enjoy music and refreshments throughout the day.
"We're excited to partner with DREAM Adaptive Recreation for this incredible event," said Jesse Miller, CEO of Big Mountain Botanicals. "Supporting initiatives that promote mental and physical health, inclusivity, and outdoor recreation aligns with our values as a company. We look forward to a day of shredding and making a positive impact together."
Registration for the SHRED-A-THON is open to individuals of all ages and abilities. Whether you're a seasoned shredder or prefer a more mellow approach, this event offers an opportunity to come together, have fun, and support a meaningful cause.
