| March 24, 2024 12:00 AM

Skylar Ray Dickson, 33, passed away at his home on March 15, 2024.

He was born in Layton, Utah, and moved to Kalispell as a child with his family. He graduated from Flathead High School in 2008 and later graduated from Montana Technological University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. His career started at SeaCast in Marysville, Washington, and grew to a successful position with Siemens in Tampa, Florida.

Skylar had a brilliant mind and a strong body which helped him to excel in many interests and activities. He loved being in the outdoors with his best friend and partner, Avery. Together they enjoyed backpacking, skiing, paddle boarding, camping, and fishing. His desire to learn new things led him to ballroom dancing.

Neat and tidy were words that often described him. Being organized and meticulous were important to him. He was extremely artistic and creative. Skylar was also an accomplished artist and while in elementary school he and several classmates were chosen to paint a mural on one of the buildings in downtown Kalispell. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was health conscience, worked out regularly, and studied good nutrition.

Skylar was a wonderful uncle who showed lots of love and patience to his nieces and nephew — always giving them his undivided attention when visiting. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Robyn and Scott Dickson; and his siblings, Zachary Dickson (Belinda), Cameron Dickson (Teresa), and Whitney Mack (Joey).

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on March 26, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1380 Whitefish Stage, followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery.

Darlington Cremation and Burial Service is caring for the family.
