On May 10, Flathead Valley Community College will celebrate and honor the class of 2024 at our 56th commencement. We are proud of and recognize the achievements, dedication and perseverance of these students. At FVCC, we see every day how the power of education transforms lives.

During their time at FVCC, this year’s graduating class has gained knowledge, skills and experience that have prepared them not just for a career but for a lifetime of continued learning.

Today, we celebrate the many paths taken by our graduates. Each one is a testament to the wealth of opportunities available to everyone at FVCC.

Graduate Livia Jackola’s connection to FVCC started with her grandfather who served on the FVCC Board of Trustees in the 1980s. When she decided to pursue a career in nursing, she knew exactly where to begin. Livia is graduating with honors and has already accepted a position in the Immediate Care Unit at Logan Health.

Small business owner Derek Connor came to FVCC to accelerate his learning in graphic design so he could grow his video and photography company, Skysquatch Productions. He will be graduating with honors and an abundant portfolio to help him continue to grow his business.

Abbie Brevig grew up in Dillon watching her father run his own electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing company. Abbie, like many of our students, successfully juggled attending college and working. She landed a job at a local HVAC company while earning her certificate of technical studies.

As we applaud our students’ accomplishments, we also recognize the invaluable contributions of FVCC’s Board of Trustees, the faculty, staff and families who have supported these graduates every step of the way. Their guidance, encouragement and unwavering belief in the potential of each student has been instrumental in shaping the leaders, innovators and changemakers of tomorrow.

We wish our graduates the best of luck as they embark on their next chapter of life, carrying with them the lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the dreams sparked at FVCC. Their journey is just beginning, and we know whatever path they choose their FVCC education will provide a strong foundation.

Congratulations, Class of 2024. Your achievements inspire us all and we cannot wait to see the impact you make on the world.
