Suzanne M. (Morgan) Henry
Suzanne M. (Morgan) Henry, of Kalispell, passed away on Jan. 10, 2024, in Gilbert, Arizona, following a stroke. Born in Richland, Washington, in 1945 to Howard and Mary Morgan, Suzy married the love of her life, Gary L. Henry, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in 1963.
Suzy and Gary were blessed with two daughters, June and Terri. After living in South Dakota and Missouri, they settled in Kalispell in 1973. Suzy pursued her education at Flathead Valley Community College, earning an Associate of Arts degree, and later graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.
Devoted to her students, Suzy spent 25 years teaching in the Flathead area, with 14 years at Cayuse Prairie and 11 years at Hungry Horse School. She was beloved by her students, whom she affectionately referred to as "her kids."
Suzy was a very talented and creative lady, making beaded jewelry, pine needle baskets, wire wrapping stone cabochons, sewing clothing and quilts, and creating fancy embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mary Morgan; her sister, Mary Sharon Lutz; her brother, Howard Morgan Jr.; and her granddaughter, Tamara Brazerol.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Gary; her daughters, June (Alex) Brazerol and Terri (Bryan) Gray; her grandchildren, James Barnhart, Kailey (Madison) Spencer, Lorraina (Devin) Sharp, and Dominik Brazerol; and her great-grandchildren, Tyrion and Luthien Sharp, and Kolton and Hayes Spencer. She is also survived by her brother, James (Marion) Morgan; Cindy (Scott) Moore; brother-in-law, Daniel (Joy) Henry; sisters-in-law, Sharon Eckert and Margo Morgan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Suzy's life will take place at 11 a.m. on July 20, at Canvas Church, Kalispell. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to RSVP by emailing suzyhenrymemorial24@yahoo.com.
