Law Roundup: Man finds uninvited guest in living room

A stranger reportedly walked into a man’s house in Columbia Falls, who stumbled upon her presence in the living room. He called Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report that she was “out of it,” and that she tried going into a neighbor’s unit and was walking back and forth in front of the complex.

A possibly armed woman reportedly broke into a Kalispell home by busting through the front door, sending broken glass everywhere. The person who called deputies alleged that in the past, the woman had threatened to shoot their husband, who was in the house.

An older man driving a van in Kalispell reportedly followed a car, telling the driver, who was delivering newspapers, to get out and that he had a gun. They told deputies they thought he was casing the neighborhood.

A man wearing purple sweats was reportedly in a garden and screaming. The property manager wanted officers to move him along.  

Extra patrol was requested when a stranger wearing shorts with an American flag print and an orange vest showed up at a woman’s house around 10 p.m. and rang the doorbell, saying he needed help. She allegedly closed the door, but he didn’t leave and stood on the porch, staring at her through the living room window. She claimed he left when he saw she was not home alone and was picked up by someone driving a white and red Chevy Blazer.

Someone allegedly pinned a man trying to break into their truck. They told police the man had a knife but that it was thrown from the man’s reach.

A woman calling from Whitefish whispered to dispatch that she thought she heard 13 gunshots. The area was quiet when deputies responded and they were unable to locate anyone shooting.

A very drunk man in Columbia Falls reportedly needed a ride home, telling deputies the bartender locked the doors and wouldn’t let him get his keys and was laughing at him instead of giving him a ride home. He started yelling and arguing with the bartender, ignoring dispatch.

A rack allegedly fell off a pickup nearly hitting a vehicle that pulled into a ditch to avoid it in Columbia Falls.
